The RESPECT group brings together around thirty professionals working in production, directing, distribution, casting, exhibition, acting, the so-called technical professions, press attachés, agencies, festivals, etc. They have chosen to be individual members and in no way represent a trade union, association, company or corporatist group (of which they may sometimes also be members).
This group is also unique in that its members occupy a variety of positions: employers, employees, intermittent performers, at various stages of career development. The degree of awareness, sensitisation and commitment of its members to the subject of HSV was also very heterogeneous at the outset, as were their initial positions on the issue. It is all these differences that made the discussions and proposals so rich.
The group was set up in a few weeks on a voluntary basis, with a commitment to attend weekly meetings over a period of six months. The group was set up organically, bringing together people who had been confronted with situations of violence in their work and people who wanted to get involved in the issue.
